Teachers
Teachers are able to plan their lessons online for use in any classroom. The advantages of planning and sharing lessons online are: teachers and students can gain access to lessons from any computer connected to the internet. It enables students to use the resources at home for revision or lesson catch-ups. Another advantage is that lesson plans can be shared by teachers across Tynedale Virtual College's NorTLE and also across the wider network to help staff in the same school and partnership schools to view already prepared lesson material which they can use in their own lessons or to help them plan their own more efficiently.
Interactive learning resources are able to be attached to lessons to assist a students understanding of a topic and to also provide teachers with a visual aid to assist their teaching.
NorTLE has its own messaging facility which allows teachers to interact with students in school and at home. Homework can be set online to enable students to have access to it from home and then for them to be able to submit it back to the teachers electronically using NorTLE.
