The Tynedale Virtual College is the Operational Project of the Tynedale 14+ Learning Partnership. It is a multi-campus approach to provide a wide range of vocational learning opportunities in subjects not previously available in West Northumberland. This collaborative venture includes the four high schools in Haydon Bridge, Hexham, Prudhoe and Ponteland, Hexham Priory School, two further education colleges: Northumberland College and Dilston College, and Work-Based Training Providers. It is intended that this partnership will enhance community access, within reasonable travelling distance, to high quality learning opportunities across school, college and work-based training routes that will meet people’s interests and aspirations and will promote participation and attainment in learning.
